Mr. Lee D. Le Blanc is the Director of Library and Technology Services for San Antonio College. Currently Lee manages a staff of librarians, library assistants, and student workers. Overseeing all aspects of library technologies, Lee is charged with implementing all technology platforms from OCLC’s WMS to nearly every Springshare LibApp. Lee has hard-earned IT, leadership, and library experience from the frontlines to implementing high-cost library platforms. Lee received his MLIS from Florida State University.

Victoria (Vicky) Hart has had a career emphasizing innovation and lifelong learning by working in several different types of libraries. Vicky holds a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana/Champaign. She has held a wide variety of positions, including director of an academic library, director of public libraries, reference librarian at urban universities and community colleges and branch manager for a military installation library. Working in the private sector, she was a marketing representative for a library services vendor. Throughout her career, she has been an active member of state library associations, and been a member of the American Library Association, the Association of College & Research Libraries, the Public Library Association, the Library Leadership and Management Association and the Government Publications Round Table. Vicky is currently the Director of Library Services at Northeast Lakeview College in San Antonio, TX.

Emme Lopez currently serves as the liaison librarian to the School of Nursing at UT Health San Antonio. She connects people with the resources they need to move their research and clinical care forward. She actively promotes the library by developing strong relationships and building trust with her user community. With this mindset, she builds and delivers effective library-skills instruction and grows faculty, staff, and student confidence in using the library. Emme believes in the role and mission of the academic librarian and seeks to promote and further that mission through community involvement. Emme worked on the local arrangements committee for the SCC, edits a quarterly column for the MRSQ, and headed the bylaws committee for the NAHRS section of MLA amongst other activities.

Emily Bliss-Zaks is an Arts & Sciences librarian at Texas A&M University – San Antonio where she is the liaison to the Art, Music, English, History, Philosophy programs and the department of Social Sciences. Her responsibilities include collection development, research support, and information literacy instruction in these disciplines. Emily received her Master’s in Library Science and Information from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Michigan State University. Her research interests include user experience, diversity in collections, and distance learning.

Erin Cassity is the Distance Learning Librarian and Social Sciences Liaison at UIW. She has worked in academic libraries for over 10 years, the last 5 years at UIW. She is interested in networking with San Antonio area librarians and sharing best practices on all aspects of service in academic libraries. She is currently a member of the editorial board for College & Research Libraries News and has previously served on the Research & Publications Committee for the DLS Section of ACRL.

Kelly Drifmeyer is an Assistant Professor, Graduate Research and Instruction Librarian at Our Lady of the Lake University. Her current research is supported by a 2018 Carnegie Whitney Grant from the American Library Association (ALA) on the use of positive reinforcement training to enhance learning outcomes in both the classroom and individual instruction. Her grant project, an annotated bibliography on the principles of positive reinforcement training for both animal and human learners, can be found at http://www.positivetraininglibrary.org. Past President 2018-2020: Michelia Mason, Southwest Research Institute: https://www.swri.org/

Michelia Mason is the Librarian of Southwest Research Institute where she manages the general operation of its library with a focus on the collection development of science and engineering resources in support of dynamic research from ‘deep sea to deep space and everything in between’. Michelia oversees library staff development, scope and integration of library systems, research/resource instruction, and outreach efforts. Michelia received her MLS and BA in Financial Services from the University of North Texas.


Historian and Nonprofit Lead: Andrea N. Schorr, UT Health San Antonio: https://library.uthscsa.edu/

Andrea N. Schorr is the Head of Resource Management at UT Health San Antonio. In her role she manages services and resources that support the teaching, learning, and research needs of the health sciences community. Andrea oversees four main service areas including: collection development, interlibrary loan, special collections, and 3D & virtual services. Andrea holds an MSIS from the University of North Texas and a BA in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
