In May of 2017, CORAL, in collaboration with the UT Health Science Center Library, was selected to host “Scholarly Communication: From Understanding to Engagement,” a daylong workshop created and presented by The Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL). CORAL was among five recipients of a competitive award that greatly reduces the cost of hosting the workshop, which means we could offer the workshop at no additional charge. The goal of this program was to empower participants to help accelerate the transformation of the scholarly communication system.

The workshop was geared towards those with administrative responsibilities, with new leadership assignments in scholarly communication or digital publishing, as well as liaisons and any others who were seeking to advance their professional development in scholarly communication.
